D&D Mods and Rods has begun our 1976 Chevrolet Corvette project.  We are building this Corvette with a completely new, custom interior, a blown small block, and a long list of supporting mods.  The story of this car is a sad one, with the last two years of this car’s existence having been spent outside with the T-tops off.  Additionally, numerous interior parts and body panels were damaged during its time outside.  The interior was damaged beyond use, giving us a fantastic opportunity to build a car nearly from scratch to help show everyone the type of work they can expect from us.  We chose to build a car that will make its presence known both on the street as well as at the track.  We hope you enjoy watching the progress of this car as it makes its way from a degraded, damaged Corvette to something we’re proud to put the “D&D” name on.

This is the car as it was when it
first entered the shop.  We pulled it into the dyno room to find some disturbing interior damage.

As you can see, the water
damage from the time spent
outside is extensive.  We quickly determined that the interior was in dire need of replacement.

After deciding to replace the
interior, we also wanted to create an engine bay to fit what was sure to become a pristine Corvette.  Here are a few pictures from that process:

The replacement motor, a Chevrolet 350 Small Block, strapped with a Dyers 6V71 Blower, should be a good match for our plans for this car.  We will provide all the dyno information after we install and tune this Corvette.
